Get to Know Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. With over 17 years of experience, I have an eclectic exposure and knowledge base in the field of clinical social work, which helps guide my framework in practice.
For the past 10 years, my primary focus of practice has been working with adolescents/teens with eating disorders. I have worked in inpatient settings, across multiple levels of care with adolescents and their families battling eating disorders. I am passionate about empowering and supporting youth and families through their healing process.
Prior to my work with eating disorders, I have worked in many clinical settings to include outpatient therapy, community-based therapy, psychiatric/residential, hospice and hospitals. I enjoy working with individuals, youth, and families needing support with life's daily challenges. I tailor treatment to individual needs and goals and incorporate Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family System models, and mindfulness. I provide a non-judgmental, person-centered, and welcoming environment. I follow a HAES, intuitive eating, anti-diet, and body neutral/body positive framework. I strive to educate and empower others in order to produce acceptance, balance, and mindful positive change to improve functioning and emotional health and wellness.
